This course is for people who work or want to work in the commerical lighting industry. It centres on the Dialux lighting design program, and takes participants from the basics to the more advanced features fo the program. It also deals with energy-efficient lighting, and introduces participants to emergeny lighting requirements. Important commercial lighting skills include: Installing and setting up DIALUX Basic room design Irregular room design Furniture and other basic building elements Creating models for non-standard objects Office lighting Industrial buildings Car parks Exterior lighting e.g. roadways Energy-saving lighting Dimming and lighting control - including DALI Emergency lighting - introduction Course Aims, Length and Entry The course is people involved in commerical lighting - such as consultants, designers, electricians, lighting companies, architects, wholesalers and energy-efficiency companies. It runs for three hours one evening per week for 5 weeks. Entry is open - no prior qualifications are required to enrol. |
