In your first year we introduce you to the classical world through survey courses in ancient history, art and mythology, and you then progress to more focused thematic topics in the second and third years. In your final fourth year you choose from a range of specialised options and have the opportunity to write a thesis on a topic of your choice. You will learn about the ancient world through a mixture of lectures and small-group seminars, which encourage lively discussion, analytic skills and the development of independent thinking.
Students may combine Modern Irish with one of a number of subjects in the Two Subject Moderatorship Degree Course (TSM, TR001, Pattern B; for those not included see the University of Dublin Calendar). The course is the same as the Modern Component of the single honor course in Early and Modern Irish. |
