Course Detail

The Certificate in General Studies consists of a range of modules within the Humanities, including subjects such as English Literature, Philosophy,Archaeology, Irish Studies, Women’s Studies and many others. This certificate programme introduces students to and gives a good foundation in a number of subject areas that students may wish to study at a later date.

The programme gives some credits to students who subsequently enrol on the part-time B.A. Degree. Suitable for those who have an interest in the Humanities or for students who are considering a more substantial programme of study such as a Bachelor of Arts, but are uncertain as to what subject area they want to take up.
