Horticulture is a very diverse industry and career opportunities exist in a wide variety of areas, from producing plants for garden centres, working on golf courses, landscaping, through to fruit and vegetable production. Many horticulturists are managers or self-employed and thus need business as well as horticultural skills. What is the BSc in Horticulture course? This is a three year full-time course designed to train professional horticulturists. The course is run in conjunction with Teagasc at Kildalton College, Piltown.
