The BSc (Hons) in Creative Media Technologies (CMT) is a four year programme designed to provide graduates with a range of technical and interpersonal skills allowing them to work in a variety of roles in the audio-visual and digital media sectors and providing a strong basis for further study in related fields.
A level 7 exit award, a BSc in Audio Visual Media Technologies, will be available for students who apply to exit having completed the third year.
The programme provides a unique mix of engineering, technology and creativity. Students will gain the necessary knowledge and skills of creative media technologies to research, develop, and deliver audio visual and digital media technology projects.
You will specialise in different aspects of the programme according to your interests. All subjects are taught from first principles and the level that you are expected to attain should be well within reach of all students who have an aptitude in this area. In year 3 and year 4 students have the opportunity to showcase their final projects.
You will mainly work and study in electronic and computer labs. Recent developments in the National Film School (NFS) at IADT offer students the use of professional TV and radio/recording studios.
