This programme has been designed to provide graduates with the knowledge and skills required to integrate sustainable energy sources with software applications. Focus is placed on developing core IT knowledge and skills and linking this to key sustainable energy knowledge so students can develop innovative sustainable energy computing solutions that are essential to the development of Ireland’s smart green economy. This programme has also been designed to take advantage of the exciting opportunities that exist (internationally and nationally) to maximise energy efficiency and renewable energy through the use of software and IT applications. The programme provides a range of core IT modules designed to create a strong basis for employment in the software development domain. Key modules in sustainable energy allow students to apply the skills and knowledge gained within the sustainable energy context. |
