Engineers are concerned with developing economical and safe solutions to practical problems, by applying mathematics and scientific knowledge while considering technical constraints.
By selecting this programme students may choose stream 1 or 2 below during their first month on campus. A final selection from within stream 1 occurs at the end of year 1. A final selection from stream 2 occurs at the end of year 2.
Each stream allows student to choose a particular branch of engineering after the fundamental subjects required by all engineers are covered.The programme leads to a level 8 honours degree award by continuation to one of the following Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programmes.
