Aim to provide graduates with a unique skill-set to enable them build and pursue successful careers in international tourism and hospitality management. Graduates can expect to obtain positions globally and become part of an
international sector that between now and 2017 will generate 296.3 million careers- which translates to 10% of total world employment! In Ireland alone Tourism Ireland – the joint North/South agency responsible for the promotion overseas of the Island of Ireland estimates that visitor arrival figures in the period 2008-2010,
tourism has the potential to generate over €16.1 billion for the island of Ireland in overseas earnings.
A unique feature of this programme is work placement in Ireland or with one of our international partners abroad for one full semester. Additionally, students will be able to study French, German, or Spanish thereby
maximising their employability. Mindful of global warming students will be able to study modules in the new and emerging areas of sustainable and green tourism. All in all, these degree programmes will equip you
with the practical skills acquired through work based learning, and the academic knowledge acquired through formal study to be a success in the dynamic and changing international tourism and hospitality industry. |
