Energy consumption and environmental sustainability are the two most pressing global challenges mankind has to solve. The solutions must be found if we are to continue to live our lives in a world that meets the needs of people in both developing and developed countries.
This course prepares students to work in the energy field by exposing them to the fundamental concepts of energy sources, generation, distribution, consumption and optimisation. Building on these fundamentals students study more specialised topics such as Green Technologies where wind, wave, solar and geothermal energies are harnessed as an alternative to fossil fuel technologies. |
