| BN010 Bachelor of Business in Information Technology
Aim
This three-year ordinary degree programme is designed around the national standard for such courses as constituted by HETAC. The course is designed primarily to provide students with the knowledge of the main functional areas of business and information technology. A strong feature of this course is the integration of business disciplines in an information technology environment. Graduates of the course will possess business analysis and information technology skills.
Minimum entry requirements
The minimum entry requirements for standard entrants are a pass in five subjects (ordinary level) in the Leaving Certificate, to include Mathematics and English or Irish, or an equivalent qualification. Leaving Certificate Mathematics at Foundation Level (at Grade B2 or higher) counts as a subject towards the five passes.
The points awarded for Foundation Level Mathematics (at grade B2 or higher) is a follows:
A1 = 20 points A2 = 15 points
B1 = 10 points B2 = 5 points
Mature students may be admitted without meeting these formal minimum requirements.
The minimum entry requirements for graduates of FETAC (NCVA level 2 or 3) awards is any full award. |
