CAO Code: GY120 This three year programme aims to provide students with a detailed understanding of two key areas of concern for modern society, (i) environment and society and (ii) youth and family issues. In the first year of the programme students take a number of modules across the disciplines of economics, sociology and politics and information technology as well as introductory modules in environment and society and youth and family studies. In second and final year students specialise in one of two pathways Environment and Society or Youth and Family Studies. This programme should appeal to students with an interest in environmental and societal issues and also to students with an interest in youth and family issues.
The first two years of the programme will be run at, and in association with, St. Angela’s College, Sligo, which is a College of NUI Galway since 2006. Students will move to the main campus at NUI Galway for the final year of the programme. |
