| This full-time three year level 7 degree course provides an academic qualification for anyone interested in a career in social or community care. The course provides a specialisation in the area of social care which will focus on providing care for children, disabled persons and the elderly within their community. The aim of the programme is to develop graduates who are equipped with sufficient knowledge and skills in social and community care to enable them to make a professional contribution in the region, nationally and internationally. Social care practitioners may work, for example, with children and adolescents in residential care; people with learning or physical disabilities; people who are homeless; families in the community; or older people. |
