Supervision is the forum where workers reflect on their work with clients and learn from that reflection through their interaction with another who takes on the role of supervisor. It is a process where clients are presented and supervisee's work with them is monitored, considered, reviewed, dissected and learning brought forth.
This programme is suitable for people who wish to become supervisors to counsellors/psychotherapists or other helping professionals either in a paid or voluntary capacity. Applicants will be qualified practitioners who have begun supervising counsellors/psychotherapists, or are about to do so.
They will also have the necessary years of professional experience laid down by their professional body in order to work as a supervisor within that profession; where no such recommendation exists, a minimum of three years experience as a practitioner is required. Applicants must have the recommendation of their supervisor also. Available in Dublin City Centre. |
